[Solved]: Starter Page
« on: March 03, 2008, 12:00:51 am »

Good Evening

I would like to have a start up page instead of going straight into Index.php, I need this so I can put up a notice that says some adult nude modeling may be posted.  So How do I get a start page of my own to start first before the CPQ?

Create a splash page (name it "start.php" for example), then use .htaccess to send users to the splash page first by adding start.php to the top of the allowed index files.
This might be the content of start.php:
Code: [Select]
<?php
define
('IN_COPPERMINE'true);
require(
'include/init.inc.php');
pageheader('Welcome');
starttable(-1,'Warning');
?>

<tr>
<td class="tableb">
This site is not save for work. <a href="index.php">Enter</a> anyway?
</td>
</tr>
<?php
endtable
();
pagefooter();
ob_end_flush();
?>
The line that needs to go into .htaccess should be something like this:
Code: [Select]
DirectoryIndex start.php index.php index.html index.htmYou question has been asked and answered often btw...

Thank you for your assistance.  I tried searching for the answer for a couple of weeks now and could not find it.  I tried starter page, Index, and a whole host of other querries with no luck, so finally decided to ask.  Appreciate it and thank you again. Will give it a try now.

Thank you, your suggestion worked and did exactly what i was looking for.  I also figured out why my searches for a solution to the problem was not bearing fruit, if I would have typed in htaccess in the search criteria I would have found my answer.  Well you live and lean.  Again thank you very much for your help.
