a search rule question
« on: March 01, 2008, 03:26:53 pm »

When I type something in the search bar, I have the choice between an "AND" search and an "OR" search.
Is there a way to do a combined search? I mean something like x AND ( y OR z)  ?

Note.  Please don' answer me that this question has been asked a thousand times, it is now an hour
I am searching for it in the forum, the faq and the docs and I did find anything. I am sorry if
I missed it.

No, you can't set brackets as logical operands for a search in coppermine. Has never been asked before afaik ;).

Thanks, I am relieved that it has never been asked before.

Now, do you think it is doable to refine this search rules'
I am creating a non-commercial database for a swimming club
and it would be nice to have some more search possibilities.
I am ready to start learning php if you give me some hints as to where
things happen.
