Filter bad words in comments
« on: November 22, 2008, 01:51:53 pm »

Some time ago I set up Filter bad words in comments to prevent the obvious however, I've found this to be unnecessary and more of a obstacle than a tool in this case. For instance users who type the location Essex find that the words display (....) instead. I've been into the config and chosen to disable the bad word filter but the words are still being filtered anyway.... Can someone please tell me another way to do this.... Is there a table I need to empty in the database or a a line I need to remark out.
Thanks :) Oh yes I'm running 1.4.19 if that helps?

The config setting should be enough. It will only apply to new comments of course. Old censored comments will remain censored.

My mistake Nibbler.... I've double checked and it seems that I was looking at an older post. I've since posted some new comments and they aren't censored any longer. Sorry I should have double checked before posting this topic! :-\
