[Solved]: Inconvenient when upload many files at once
« on: February 27, 2008, 09:15:14 am »

Hello,

It is very inconvenient when upload many files at once:
1. Click to upload, choose the file(s).
2. Upload
3. Choose the album and put the description FOR EACH FILE.

If the user already stay in one of his album, if he uploads new images, is it possible to automatically add the new images into that album ?

Is there any option for a user to choose to add the description for each image whether at the time he uploads or later ?

You (as admin) should use FTP-upload plus batch-add. Your users could use alternative upload methods (XP-Publisher) - you just need to promote that tool. Add-ons are available as well: JUpload (Java-Driven Uploader) or Koppermine (an Uploader for the KDE desktop on Linux). For the next coppermine version, improvements in the http upload mechanism are scheduled, however that version (cpg1.5.x) has not been released yet. Your question has been asked 8and answered) before. In the future, please read the docs and search before posting.
