URLs not working
« on: February 19, 2008, 12:20:29 am »

Information
No image to display

File: /home/mie/public_html/coppermine/displayimage.php - Line: 275

What is wrong? Should these direct URLs to the pics(in the password protected album) be working?

Are you logged in to an account that has access to the album?

Hmmmm... Looks like URLs are working if I first open the password protected album and then use URL.
Is there a way to make URLs work so it asks password if it's not given and then shows the pic?

I think the current behavior is more secure (with the exception of the revelation of the file path, though). It prevents unauthorized viewers from even knowing that the content exists by not confirming there is something there.

I see the same behavior from Wordpress when trying to access a protected post/page.

For me this kind of links don't reveal anything http://mywebpage.net/coppermine/displayimage.php?pos=-50;)
I thought those URLs in the pic information field was needed somewhere but now those feels useless...

So, is there a way to invite friends to see a certain pic easily? I thought it could be done by sending URL and password. I don't like to have totally open albums at all.
