Manually upgrading?
« on: February 05, 2008, 01:03:16 pm »

Hi,

I do not wish to replace many of my files as they contain custom code, for 1.4.14 there were instructions how to manually patch the problem, now there isn't, or am i blind?

I would like to manually patch the issue and not upgrade.

Thank you.

There are no manual instructions. Use a diff viewer and merge the updates into your modified version.

Could you explain exactly what a "Diff Viewer" is? any examples? I assume it will pick out the code out of the modified file when compared to the original? This would indeed be usefull when doing this. Do you have any tips where i could find something like this?
