500 Internal Server Error - resizing photos
« on: February 01, 2008, 06:56:47 am »

Hi guys,

Just wanted to say first that I already searched and couldn't find anything to my particular 500 error.

Anyways, the error occurs when I try to resize thumbnails in certain albums using the Admin Tools menu. This error only happens for SOME of the albums. The others can be resized without any problems. I will post the debug info if needed.

Error message:
"The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log. "

Thanks in advance,
JRK.

Try resizing fewer files at a time.

Thanks for the input. I just tried this and it worked on a few more albums but for some of the albums, even when I try to resize only 1 thumbnail at a time, I still get the error. Should I post up the debug info?

No. Do exactly as suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs and the next section named "asking for support on upload issues" if you have upload issues. Post a deep link to one of the files you're having issues with as well.
