Linking with images files.
« on: January 31, 2008, 07:53:02 pm »

First of all I apologize, if this is not the appropriate thread, or if it is resolved this question.
Please bear in mind that I do not speak any English, I ask you only a little understanding and help. ???

The Hello everyone, I stand, Cybertas am, and I am novice in the world of Coppermine. First of all, you and I apologize for any mistakes that may commit, because I do not speak English, and as I write this with the help of a translator on-line, I hope not to offend anyone.

I explained my doubts:
It is, which I have just set up a gallery, for the moment on a trial basis, and if it works well, will be final.
But I have a small problem, I want to raise a series of images, and these images are associated with a file. Zip.

The upload the images via the URI / URL, as I have on a server outside, but not how to upload the file. Zip, and it is linked to that image.

I have explained not too bad.

Thank you.

Use ftp to upload the zips to your webserver and remember the URL... that URL you can add using bbcode to the image description within coppermine

the images you upload using coppermine (URI/ URL or batch add, whatever you prefer)
When done you upload your zips to some folder on your server using your favourite ftp application.
The link to these zips you can add to your images when viewing them in intermediate view and clicking 'edit file information' below.

In the description field you enter your link... using bbcode you can make it clickable

eg:
Code: [Select]
[url=http://yoursite.com/]Url Text[/url]that's from coppermines help
