Category Not Assessable When Trying to Upload Images
« on: January 04, 2008, 04:04:21 pm »

Hi All,

Dunno if this has happened anyone before, Maybe someone can help (Thanks In Advance)

I have created 5 Categories, and inside each category are 4 sub categories,
For some odd reason, my 5th category (and its sub categories) are not in the drop down selection box, thus i cant put any images into that category,

The fifth category is visbale in the gallery itself and does exsist!!!
I can upload to the other galleries!!!
I am the admin and have full rights!

Any Ideas???

Much Appreciated

You don't upload into categories, you upload into albums. Create albums in the categories.

OK, Im gettin the bigger picture now, but im not sure what way to structure the gallery,
Its a "photography of the country type website"

I want to put the whole country in there, which is broken into:
4 provineces, and serval counties within each provinces,
There is 5 main Topics ie:
Landscape, Battlesites, Towns, Castles, Ruins

In your opinion what should I make the Categories, Sub Categories & Albums???

Many Thanks

[Edit GauGau] Removed gallery URL as per request [/Edit]

So just to confirm,
I would like to organizes this gallery as best i can by the following categories/albums
But not sure the best way to do it.

There are five main categories,
Landmarks, towns, battle sites, ancient ruins, castles,

Any of these could be found in any county, which in turn can be found in any province,
I would like to know the best way to set this up so that inside each category a user can navigate by province and then by county (As counties are within provinces)

Any help/feedback is welcome,
Many Thanks

Nope, that's not correct. Currently, you have the main categories "Test Cate", "Connaught", "Munster", "Leinster" and "Ulster".

Yeah, Im going by province>county>County Landmark/Town etc...
As opposed to Landmark>Province>County because in my dropdown list I had several repeating albums per category...

Thanks for your Help!!!

Hi Joachim,

Thank you for your help on my categories/albums setup,
Can you please remove the link xxxxx from the forum, where i posted it to show you the site,

I do not seem to have the permissions to to this myself,

Many thanks
Unreal!

Any particular reason for sending me a PM instead of just replying to this thread accordingly? Read my sig, read up board rules!
Anyway, did as you suggested.
