Batch Add
« on: December 26, 2007, 08:48:59 pm »

I have recently transfered my gallery to a new host. When I go to batch add files I click on the folder I have uploaded my files into, and when I get to the screen where I choose the album, and am supposed to see the images, it does not display the newly uploaded images. I tried creating a new folder, and uploading into that. And then when I get to that screen it says no images to display. Yet when I click the second screen where you hit the "ok" button, it does display the files as being in that folder.  ???

Do exactly as suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs. Especially take a look at the section "asking for support on upload issues". Additionally, post a deep link to one of the files you're having issues with.

Is there a way to batch add to a personal folder?

I read the upload section and those are my settings already Im pretty sure. I double checked and I think Ive done it right.

Here's a link to my gallery: http://www.aileegallery.com and I set up a test account, username- test, pw -test.

I dont know what is meant by a deep link. Im having trouble batch adding photos...Ive tried a few different folders of photos on my computer I need to upload and none work.

@adamwe4: stay out of this thread, your question is unrelated. Don't try to hijack someone else's thread.

@BabeandJamie4Ever: the supporters have explained what a deep link is a thousand times. Search the board for that term if you have no idea what it is.

Ive searched for the term and I still dont know what it means. My results are just people being asked for a deep link, and then no one posting the deep link so I can see and example of what is meant. Ive searched through a few pages of my results and this is all Im getting.

Also, I was just checking the batch add option with my older folders, and it seems that its anything I have put in folders after I have transfered my gallery to a new host that do not work. All my folders I had used previously do work (I dont use those anymor becuase they have too many files already). And I have tried uploading into an older folder and the new files do not show.

Don't name your files that way: the prefix "normal_" is reserved for internal purposes of coppermine.

oh ok, thanks :) I was moving those files over from my other gallery and just saving them out of the old one, because for some reason the old files wouldnt upload. Ill re-name them and see how it works :)
