Hi,

Upgraded to latest version from 1.4.13, ever thing was working OK last night when I updated the gallery.

This morning I now can not log in using admin password.

I get to the log on screen, I log in using my usual details, the system says welcome admin "Continue" and when I press continue I just end up back at the log on screen again. Try again and same again.

I have tried the following...

Use a MySql utility such as phpmyadmin and open xxx_banned table and remove the record that user_id = 1

and these have not worked.

I have even tried to restore from a backup I took when the access was working overwriting all the files using ftp and this has not worked.

I don't think I have a backup of the database.

The only thing I haven't done is restore the gallery back to a backup I took before upgrade - this being the older version.

Some urgent help with this issue would be appreciated.

Further.....

I have been doing some more checking. I have loaded my old backup of the gallery v1.4.13 and the problem sill exists.

I have also tried to register as a new user, my registration is accepted, when I log in i get the same welcome message with "continue" but when I go past this screen my log-in has not been registered. If I check the menu under the home key there is still the word log-in not what it should say which is log-out (xxxx).

Something seems to be blocking the log-in process.

I have also checked the permissions on the folders and set them between 777 and  755 and this makes no difference.

I have further checked the database tables and as far as I can tell (although not being an expert) all appears OK in the user table and usergroups table.

It appears no-one can log into my gallery !!

I have just tried reloading the update to 1.4.14 which all went OK.

when I went to the version check page - I was advised that I didn't have permission to view the page

Works fine for me. Clear your cookies and review your browser configuration. Don't post admin details on a public forum.

Thanks - Lesson learned re the cookie thing. 

Site now secure again, also now have 2 admin accounts.
