Help! Comment spammers!

I've been getting a lot of SPAM in my comment section lately.  My gallery receives a lot of registration requests, which I manually approve, but I don't know they are going to SPAM me until they actually do.  ...And then when they do, they post 1 comment for each picture I have.

If I was able to view their IP address when I activate their account, I could possibly know to ban them immediately.  The only way I know of to view the users IP address is after they post a comment, then it's shown in the comment section.

What would also be really nice is a timer feature.  Make them wait XX (controlable in admin) seconds between posts.

Any thoughts?  I have the latest release of 1.4.13.

latest version is 1.4.14 you must update your gallery.
