Error when uploading

I get this error when uploading picture to the gallery

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 6132 bytes) in /home/merebel/public_html/cpg1414/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 272
New install have changed the theme that is it

Checked the settings of the album folder and sub folders on the site and made shure there set to 777
