Automatic Album Generation
« on: November 01, 2007, 08:16:48 pm »

Dear Santa,

I would like use FTP to upload many directories to the "albums/" directory, each containing some few pictures.  I would like for Coppermine's "batch addition" process to create an album, using each subdirectory's name.

This would save a user the trouble of manually creating each album name, when that data is already available via the existing directory name. From the manual: "it's always a good idea to have a folder structure within the albums folder that reflects or mirrors your coppermine categories and albums."

I am uploading over 100 albums and I was thinking how nice it would be to batch process create the album names from my existing directory structure.

If this is not possible, Santa, then I would just like a pony.

Thanks!  I tried to RTFM but missed the plugins' features.
