php-upload => blank page
« on: October 16, 2007, 09:26:12 am »

hi guys, i've some problems to articulate in english, but i'll do my very best ;)

ok, i've installed Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.4.13 modpack v2 (stable) on our vserver, no problems.

when i want to upload a picture (php upload), it leeds me to a blank, white screen. but not always?! i'm not sure, why sometimes there is a blank page, and sometimes it works?! file-upload by url works fine.

i already checked the file-permissions (/albums and subfolders at 777). debug-mode is activated, also uploading just single file allowed. but there is no error-message, just the white screen.

php.ini is standard, php-upload allowed.

at the moment, there is no test-user, i'll register one for you soon. gallery is bridged with a phpbb2 2.0.21 plus 1.53 forum.
gallery-path: http://www.astra-community.de/gallery/

if i forgot something to mention, sorry. i've read your sticky thread several times ;)

uploads work liek a charm if you keep image files small (you may wish to delete album and pic now)
http://www.astra-community.de/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-8

If you upload huge images then you may run into server sided restrictions.
Read the sticky thread (upload trouble shooting) for more information.
http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=24088.0

I've tried with a 2000x1333 image and got the expected result, a blank page.
Either further restric uploads (in size x/y) or increase php memory_limit

Sorry that your thread has been moved here. You strated it in the right forum (upload troubleshooting). I'm moving it back where it belongs.

additionally I suggest using the wataremark downsize functionality. That way the watermarks won't look over- or undersized for intermediate and fullsized images.

thank's for helping that fast :D

ok, in my opinion the problem is php memory limit (8Mb). you seem to think the same =)
i'll check, how to configure this setting and test again. i hope, i don't have to ask here again ;)

thank's and bye
