Hacking attempt...?
« on: March 20, 2004, 11:56:49 am »

I have Copermine installed and was using the YabbSE bridge and everything was working fine.  I upgraded to SMF the new forum and now the message I get is Hacking attempt... when tring to access my gallery.

I am aware that the bridge will no longer work but would like to get my index page back at least ;)

Can anyone shed some light on how I can rectify this please?

Thanks,
Zippo

Did you turn off your bridge, to make coppermine standalone again.
Open your include/init.inc.php, and comment out the bridge file.  The gallery will then revert to using its own user tables.

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

Thanks that worked.  However, the user galleries are now not showing, possibly as the members were taken from the YabbSE forum? I am unsure but thanks for your help :)

Hopefully there will be an SMF bridge in the near future.

There already is a SMF bridge file (which will be part of CPG1.3.0). It's currently still under testing (beta status), but if you want to test it for yourself, go ahead (in fact, nothing can be broken with the bridge file; if you can't get it to work, simply switch off integration again and you're back where you are right now). You can download it from the web CVS: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/coppermine/devel/bridge/smf.inc.php - but please be sure that there's no support (yet) for it.
Please report back here on this thread if it works for you.
