wysiwyg - tiny MCS integration
« on: January 02, 2008, 03:15:27 pm »

I have installed tiny MCS a wysiwyg - turns any textarea into a text editor.  The only problem that im having is when i update the profile page using tiny MCE it posts html with it. WHen i view the section back (biography) it is displaying the HTML entities rather than actual html.

Please take a look at the following link if the above does not make sense.

You can't use html on the profile fields. See if you can get the script to use bbcode instead.

Thanks for the quick reply. It does support BBcode but there is alot of modifications necessary.  Do you have any ideas?

So, just to clarify, you're talking about TinyMCE? http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/

If so, it looks like it has a plugin http://wiki.moxiecode.com/index.php/TinyMCE:Plugins/bbcode that makes it output bbcode, although I'm not sure how well the dialect of bbcode it outputs matches what Coppermine accepts.
