Mods and Plugins, stating the bleeding obvious
« on: September 16, 2007, 09:46:07 pm »

I've noticed quite often that people on here are sometimes reluctant to upgrade to the latest security release due to their heavilly modified script or more often that they have forgotton what they have modified. I know you wish to go down the plugin route to save this kind of thing but there will always be mods out there.

Maybe it is worth adding a section to the manual advising the user to keep a note of all mods/plugins they make, the relavent links to where they got the mod/plugin from and any other changes they make including details of why they have modded something as it might be included in the later release.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.
