Problem showing number of pages
« on: January 12, 2005, 01:08:15 pm »

Hi there
I have a big problem on my gallery.
When logged in to see the private albums, 90% of the times you are NOT able to navigate through the pages.
I.E. in one of the albums there are 108 pictures on 9 pages, but there are ONE button visible (to go to page 1) ?????????

I'm using Pinned-gray template, but have tried to change to default, but the problem is still there.

??? Hmmm don't understand I still have problems most of the times, but usually it helps to reload the page one or two times.
Do you have an idea to what the problem could be ?

what browser are you using? Pinned-gray is a user contribution, we can not fully support it - does this really happen for you using the classic theme (or any other theme that ships with coppermine) as well?

Well i both use IE and Firefox
I tried to change the theme to Default, but the result is the same
I have attached two pictures.
1. My site using Pined Gray in IE 6.0........ See the problem (13 pictures on 2 pages, but only 1 is visible)
2. My site using Default in Firefox 1.0......... Same problem

Hip hip hooray - I finally found out why this happens: I went to your page and looked at the source code - you are not using cpg1.3.x (which would make sense, as you posted this thread on the cpg1.3 support board), but you're using the outdated cpg1.2.1! The issue you're facing is a known bug in cpg1.2.x (and I think a fix has been posted somewhere as well). Anyway, to solve the issue, you should upgrade to cpg1.3.2 (the most recent stable release). I knew I had been reading this before... ::)

I moved the thread from cpg1.3 support board to the cpg1.2 support board for you - next time, make sure to post on the board that actually corresponds to the coppermine version you're using!

This is not a rant at you thuleab, just a comment on how users can help us to help them.

The screenshots you posted say more about your problem than many words can, and do not need translating for users of other languages.

These screenshots would have been instantly recognised by myself and many of the other supporters as the particular bug we dealt with a long time ago, and we could have given a very quick answer.

So my point is this, to all asking for support, if your problem is visible on the screen, please post a pic of it to show what you mean.

In this case I think you haven't upgraded all files - you have to upgrade your theme files as well. Use versioncheck.php to find out if you have properly performed the update.
