My website's gallery has 2000+ files, and a LOT of categories. When I need to add a new category, I have to wait almost 15 seconds (due to 1.2+ MB of data the browser has to load) each time, so I can see the field at the bottom to create a new category.

Would it be possible to have a "minimal" version, that just adds new categories? I tried editing catmgr.php to do this, but the level of the PHP in there is over my head, so I kept getting PHP error trying to remove the category list. So having this as an option in Coppermine 1.5 would be very helpful and useful.

The category manager has already been improved to handle more categories in 1.5.
