Ok, I have now latest gallery (1.4.16) and I have the same situation. What is wrong?
My gallery: www.belzebiusz.cba.pl
It's makes when I choose Expand all. When I choose General Settings etc. I haven't got Save new configuration button.

In addition I have another strange problem, when I want change language, coppermine don't remember it and I can't chnge language. I have strange pop-up. All shows video added to the posts.
I can't find edit option?

Yes, It's offline because is not working correctly. In user mode all it's ok, normal coppermine, it's makes double when i want change settings in admin mode, and coppermine don't remember my settings. If You want i can make coppermine on-line mode.

Gallery in on-line mode.

The problem is on server side. All galleries which are made on cba.pl have the same issue, double coppermine, but in my friend gallery settings working normally. But if You would like to look on my gallery and would find what is wrong I would be thankful
.

Anyway, problem is on server-side, don't matter. I will try another img gallery, when I will have different server I will back to coppermine.Thanks for interest my problem.

Hmmm, I have tested another img gallery, there is no any alternative for coppermine I think. Coppermine is the best PHP script for galleries!

The only alternatives (serious "competitors") are Menalto Gallery and 4images. Anyway, as you said yourself: you have an issue with your server setup. Fix that to enable you to use pre-made scripts. If your server is set up improperly, you will sonner or later run into issues with any gallery app.
