Watermark custom thumbs
« on: August 11, 2007, 04:50:46 am »

Hello, I've searched the boards and found nothing about this problem.

I am trying to upload a custom thumb for a flash movie. In doing so the system watermarked it with the image movie. I realized my mistake and switched
"Watermark custom thumbs (movie, audio, document)" to no in image watermarking under "config".

This has made no difference. Although it now says it wont watermark custom thumbs, its still doing so. What am I doing wrong?

You need to reupload the custom thumb

I tried that, then i did it with another completely different picture and same problem. Unfortunately i needed a quick fix so i just opened the watermark image in fireworks and deleted the text. So now although it still watermarks it, noone can see cause its completely transparent. An ugly, ugly solution, but it works.

I checked and have seen that I introduced a problem with the downsize function... needs correction

Thanks for the report

fix:

in include/picmgmnt.inc.php find
Code: [Select]
if ($media_type != "false"){ //if a manual thumb gets generated we watermark the thumb with the media type
//we now need to get the absolute path to the thumb watermark files
$path_parts = pathinfo($CONFIG['watermark_file']);
$CONFIG['watermark_file'] = $path_parts["dirname"]."/wm_".$media_type.".png";
}

and replace with

Code: [Select]
if ($media_type != "false" && $CONFIG['enable_thumb_watermark']){ //if a manual thumb gets generated we watermark the thumb with the media type
//we now need to get the absolute path to the thumb watermark files
$path_parts = pathinfo($CONFIG['watermark_file']);
$CONFIG['watermark_file'] = $path_parts["dirname"]."/wm_".$media_type.".png";
$CONFIG['reduce_watermark'] = 0; //disable wm downsize for custom thumbs
}
