So the actual problem is that after submitting a file to be uploaded, you get a blank screen on the db_input.php file. This may be caused by two things:
  • possible file corruption:
one or more files of your package may be corrupted. Re-upload the files from a fresh package. As you're using cpg1.4.10, your issue should be solved by upgrading to the most recent stable version (currently cpg1.4.12), as the upgrade steps make it necessary to replace all core files with the new ones from the package. Please refer to the upgrade section of the docs for details. You have to understand that upgrading is mandatory, as it takes care of a security vulnerability.
  • Possible tampering with the http headers:
As you appear to be hosted on a free webhosting services, it is very likely that your webhost injects ads into the http output, which might interfere with the file upload

Bottom line: upgrade as suggested (making sure to use the proper FTP mode when uploading the new files from the update package). Return here after upgrading, posting your results.
