Login buttons not working for no good reason.
« on: July 25, 2007, 08:15:06 am »

Both of my login buttons have stopped working.  I have not modified the gallery.  I added some photos about a month ago but basically that was all.  Nothing since then.  One login sends me to a blank screen and the other just moves me to the top of the page.  Would anyone know what exactly I need to modify to send those links back to my login screen?

Thanks!

Without my mindreader hat on I can hardly advice anything ;). Posting a link to your gallery for a start might be a good idea. As there ususally is only one login button I guess this may be caused by improper customization.

Sorry.  Here is the link.  http://www.roscignovecchia.com/photogallery/  There is the one on the right just under the header and there is one in the meta box on the bottom right.  Let me know if you need any thing else.

Thanks!

Make sure that the file login.php isn't corrupted - upload it from a fresh package. As you're using cpg1.4.10, while the most recent stable release is cpg1.4.12 (and upgrading is mandatory anyway for security reasons), you should upgrade now. Hopefully, your issues with the login page not displaying properly will then be solved as well.

The top link does not work because you have changed from /chat to /chatnew so you need to redo the bridge.
The link in the meta section does nothing because there is no target set for it.

Code: [Select]
<a href="#" title="Login to Blog">Login</a>
You will need to modify your theme to set up the correct link.

Contrary to your thread title, both are good reasons.

I did have a problem installing and extension on my chat which caused me to have to reinstall it and import the old data.  I never made the connection because it was another portion of the site.

Can you tell me exactly what I need to modify?  the phpbb or coppermine, which file, and which line will I find the link information in.

Thanks!

Best,

You are using a custom theme - I can't give you specifics because I don't have the theme. Try looking in the template.html - search for 'login'.
