password problem with domain transfer

I have just moved my gallery to another domain, I am now getting a problem with the users not accepting the Log in password, "getting a couldn't log in. Try again" - error

The users are present in the users cp. If I manualy edit the user's password in the control panel, it will then work!

So any ideas please?
