users cant upload

OK I am beginning to give up!

I still cant get users to upload I dont think its the permission codes cos ive checked so ive made a test account please help!!

Impossible to move battle1.jpg to albums/userpics/10362/

Make the albums folder and all folders under it writable.

it wont let me even when i try and go through ftp it says operation not permitted
also does this mean a user cant register and upload pics without me having to change permissions all the time?!

read the docs
you have to chmod the mentioned dirs. If CPG creates new ones (for users) you can set in config the permissons for them.

If you do not have rights to chmod... then you'll have to ask your host
