Edit Files page has option for renaming files
« on: July 08, 2007, 07:18:10 pm »

Awhile back, I paid someone here to make me a simple hack that allows me to change the filenames of images in an album using the Edit Files link that appears beside albums. I've found this to be a very useful feature, since normally you can only edit filenames for one file at a time using the Edit File Information under the thumbnail images.

Here's what my gallery looks like with that feature: http://www.metcoverart.com/temp/editfiles_filename.jpg

Perhaps this could be a standard feature in future releases? I've found it to be very useful, and I'm sure other people would as well.

Releasing the code would probably help.

No problem. ;) This is the full editpics.php page with the hack, which was made for CPG 1.4.x. I forget who I paid to do it, but it only cost $15 (probably a little over-priced for the actual amount of code that was added, but as I said I find it to be very useful).
