Bridged Coppermine/phpBB2 comment notification soloution?
« on: July 08, 2007, 01:55:08 pm »

Hello I am sure this has already been solved so sorry if I am repeating a previous post.

I have a bridged phpBB2 and coppermine and as the phpBB2 profile seems to take priority over the coppermine one I cannot seem to see some of the options for the email notification options.

Has anyone found a way to show these options?

OK that last post did not read well at all...

What I ment to say was I am having some trouble with the Email Comment Notification, the mod seems to have worked and I have the 'Subscribe/Unsubscribe' link by the comment but whatever I do, no emails arrive.  Any ideas?

I see in the docs that there is a 'subscribtion manager' in the standalone profile and am wondering if the fact that I am using a bridged version could be causing the trouble?

Hope that makes a bit more sense...

First you check if coppermine is able to send emails at all or if your settings are not correct (eg. with sending ecard). If that works OK, then have a look at the user profile (the bbs one). There are usually settings that allow/ disallow admin emails/ notifications. That as well triggers the comment notification emails (for phpbb it's the db entries user_notify_pm and user_notify)

It was the email settings, just dropped in my emails SMTP info and it sprung to life and is working perfectly.

Thanks dude!, Amazing Mods
