ImageMagick and Ghostscript
« on: March 12, 2004, 02:30:38 pm »

Hello,

A newbie question I guess...

Ist it possible to index EPS and PDF files (for instance) if both ImageMagick and Ghostscript are installed on the same server as coppermine ?

Or does the thumbnail creation only work with the traditional file formats ?

Or are there some settings to change in ImageMagick and/or Ghostscript ?

There is a mod available to allow upload of other file types, particularly multimedia and text files, see the mods section.

You may find it easier to wait for the next release, when this will be standard.  As for the thumbnail selection, I don't know.

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

I don't think any code was added for support of EPS and Post-script.

I haven't got one handy that's small enough to not be rejected straight off by PHP

PDFs are supported, but their 'thumbnail' is just a generic 'file' icon.
