Hello everyone!

I tried to keep my message in the "support" section, however when I tried there was no Start New Topic in the section, so I was forced to do something else.

I have a problem.

My friend set this Coppermine album up for me, and now, there is two things I want to do.

1.  Change my username
     My username is "JulieCamden" since it was a site dedicated to an actress, I had her name on it.  Now, I do not want that anymore since the site is now changing to another actress.


2. Change the url address
    The url has - http://deborahraffin.de.funpic.org/index.php
    I want to get rid that that Deborahraffin and put MeganMullally in her place - is there a way I can do this?  I have everything ready, except for that silly url.

   If this is not possible, can someone tell me how to delete the album. and can someone walk me through setting up a brand new album?

I thank you for any assistance that anyone can give me.

Sending PMs to developers/supporters is rude and selfish. Board rules (you agreed to respect them when signing up) and my signature say so explicitely.
Using silly subject lines in all uppercase is rude as well.
We have a strict "one question per thread" policy (again: board rules!). Breaking the rules twice is silly as well.

Your first question has been asked and answered often already, search the board. Impersonating someone (doing as if you were the person the site is about) is not a bright idea, both in ethical as well as legal terms. If your name is "Megan", why don't you use that name as username as well?

Your second question is in no way related to coppermine, but a matter of webhosting. Read your free webhost's documentation. We can't help you with this.

As you have broken nearly all board rules and common sense in only one posting and one PM there's no way I'm going to waste my time answering further questions from you. Maybe someone else is willing to support you - I'm out of this thread.

Ok, I sent a message thinking that first off, someone was on this forum, and could help me - I didn't know that we couldn't pm the developers/supporters - I didn't know that that was rude and unheard of.  I just joined this forum today, and from my point of view, as a new member to this forum, it's very confusing for me.  I put my title in "caps" ok, that was wrong, I am sorry and I will never do that again.

My first question has been asked a hundred times - well I wish I knew where to go since I have been all over this place and couldn't find anything.  I thought it was very easy, find out how to do it, and that's that.  No big deal.

Also, I am not impersonating anyone - and how dare you say that I am!  I can use whatever name I want to - it is for safety for me, and it is connected to the website that I run for the actress, so you see, no place do I say I am the actress.

Geeesh, is this how you treat all new members by yelling at them?  Or is it just me?.

I agree with the treatment, people come here for help.  So far I have not received any.  I have tried PM and not one answer.  So I posted to get some help.  Geeeeee, all I got was did I read the rules.  Rules, rules.  I need help.  Im getting tired of deleting porn from my comments.  Why does coppermine allow this to happen to there software and why is there not a easier way.  I dont fully understand changing the codes.  So help people, dont make us feel not welcomed.

You have to understand that if people start with reading the documentation and FAQ first we would spend less time answering questions that have already been answered before. If you have problems with spam comments then use either the akismet or captcha mod / plugin. They both stop automated spam comments, i use it myself with great success.

It isn't coppermine who allows this, but you:you have an option in coppermine to disallow anonymous comments. Disable anonymous comments and your issues will stop immediately.

So help people, dont make us feel not welcomed.

You're not welcome if you hijack a thread where a flamer has started his rant and insults. Behave like a moron and you will be treated like one. Behave nicely, show us that you at least tried to solve your issues on your own before asking for support. Follow board rules, read the docs, search the board. If you did and you're still unable to solve your issues, post on the proper board and you will no doubt get help. Grow up!

As Hein suggested: thread locked to stop you (and others) from replying with even more nonsense.
