Help for an Absolute Idiot?
« on: June 05, 2007, 02:36:47 pm »

Hello,

I need help.  Is there a number I can call for help?  I cant find one on the site.  I have spent the last 70 to 80 minutes reading other topics in the forum, but they may as well be written in mandarin Chineese for all the good they are doing me.  I know very little about computers.  I keep seeing stuff about INI files, I dont know what that is or where to find it!  Here is my issue.  I am the kind of guy who thinks the CD tray is a drink holder!

Last week I had no problems uploading pictures to my web site.  Today, I am getting an error message which reads:

Error Report
The following uploads encountered errors:
File Uploads:
File Name/URL Error Message
1. DSCN2044.JPG Impossible to move.

So, I found a tab called Admin Tools.  Clicking on that, I found a link in there called check versions.  In there, I found that I am running version 1.4.10 which appears to be the newest version of the software available.  I also see that I have:

Summary
Total files/folders checked:  243
Mandatory files missing:  3
Optional files missing:  0
Files left over from outdated Coppermine version:  0
Outdated file versions:  0

In looking through the long list of things, I find three of them highlighted in red, I have to assume these are the things that are missing:

albums/edit/index.html  -  -
albums/edit/no_FTP-uploads_into_this_folder!   -  -
albums/edit/index.html  -  -

Now, I have no idea if this is what is causing my problem, but I assume it is.  I also have no idea how to fix it.  Can anyone help me in terms that their 90 year old grandmother could interprit?
