Specific friendly urls
« on: May 25, 2007, 11:10:55 am »

Hi everybody,
I'm not in programming but l managed to setup a coppermine gallery. Later on... l maneged to add pictures to my gallery! This seems to be the right way... Thanks to this forum l've also addes some adsense to it. Now l face the friendly urls problem. I mean, my urls foesn'l look unfriendly but they look inespressive! For example this is a link to a picture:

This is a link to a picure

http://www.pompeinet.com/galleria/displayimage-lastup-0-4.html

Once l click it the url became unfriendly:

http://www.pompeinet.com/galleria/displayimage.php?pid=50&fullsize=1

How can l have urls looking like: http://xyz/xyz/picturename.html?

Thanks for the help!
Antonio

Not at all. The SEF_URLs plugin is experimental and should not be used if you have issues with it. The URL of the full-size pop-up doesn't matter at all in terms of search engine optimization though, as it is a JavaScript driven link that will be ignored by search engine spiders anyway.
If you want the full-size pics to have a SEF-URL as well, you'll have to come up with the custom code, it hasn't been contributed yet.
