Sending email to users

Hello, i have not been here before and i have just installed coppermine for the first time, i have managed to make my own theme and and install the mod pack for pm, buddys and al that. i am trying to also make a page where i can  eail certain users or all users  (through a check box system_ or evern just email all users for site updates i have been searching for ages and the only one i can come up with is this

which no matter what i di i cant get working. does anyone know of a different mod they can direct me to? the above one seems to have been released a few years ago so maybe a newer improved one?
