Configuring a separate home page
« on: May 18, 2007, 01:25:55 pm »

Hi,

I know where to specify using a different page for the homepage, so that's not my question. What I'm trying to do is setup a homepage that uses a slightly different menu setup to the rest of the site - extremely simple layout with a larger logo, centred menus and simple search (similar to Google), with any subsequent pages reverting back to my default left align layout with smaller logo. (It's my client...!)

Is this possible with the current codebase? Would it be relatively straightforward to setup a new pageheader function?

Thanks for any help.

Why don't you just create a splash page that has got the features you ask for? How is this related to coppermine?

It needs the login and logout functions to be active from the homepage.

How's it related to coppermine? It's an application based on the coppermine gallery with a lot of customised functionality. This is not the current url - http://www.interactive.tagworldwide.com/npa/ - it's being redeveloped on my local machine, but this basically how we want the site to behave.
