NO dont make it smaller tell people where it is to change is all. Most people run your same resolution and only going to get higher as months go on. I run 1900x1200.

Problem with auto resize of image

Hi Etienne,

Thank you for a great program. I am having an issue where some of the files that the uploader compresses for me the photo turns out to look like a 4 color graphic. I can include a file or a link if you need to see it, but I am guessing that you may already be familiar with something like this? If I try and delete the file and reupload, the same file will always seem to compress with a wierd color scheme. It does not happen to all photos, but I am always using the same 2 cameras and it happens to both the Nikon D70 and and Olympus. Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

Take a look at page 12 of this thread. I had a similar problem with all photos taken in portrait mode so ettiene added a transmit metadata parameter to fis it. Go to the plugins config page and try switching that on

Thank you, this helped, but now when I change this value, nothing happens. I cannot find a config.inc.php file in the user directory. How do I create this since new installs do not have this file? I assumed that when I made a change in the settings the file would be created, but it was not. I just need a default config.inc.php file then I think the changes will work. Thanks for any help on this topic.

My language is "Chinese_big5" "Chinese traditional"
but "The JUpload translation for this language doesn't exist."

I hope JUpload use the "English translation" but not change "Coppermine language"

How can I do that?

The source is too long to post.  attached to message.  Thanks for helping me with this..

The applet tag contains :
WIDTH="400" HEIGHT="300"

These are not default values, which means you changed the applet size. Try putting smaller values, at least to test if configuration parameters works properly, in your case.

In the attached log, there is no query errror, but 'You don't have permission to perform this operation'. Perhaps:
1) You create the log after the end of your session.
2) You are in bridge mode. Seems like session are not correctly managed in bridge mode.

Yes, I'm interested in an original picture, and your compression parameters. The easiest way to give me these parameters is to sent a debug output. Everything is written there.

Any ideas on a solution for the bridge session issue?

No idea because no study !

I work on JUpload in the train, going to work.

And I'm in Holidays!
 :)

So I just provide support, and I'll work again on JUpload once I'll work again, which is ... tomorrow !

I have no Chinese translation for the PHP part.

Please take a look at this page, to add this translation:
http://etienne.lesgauthier.fr/wiki/doku.php?id=jupload_translation

Please note that about three text will be added soon.

But it still now work.

and, the Chinese translation have some problem.

I try use the "Chinese_GB" "Chinese_big5" & "UTF8" to read that
But, all unreadable characters.

Look like this

Still NOT work, I guess ?

Let me be clear: I have NO TRANSLATION for the PHP part of JUpload. Hese is what appears with Chinese characters:
1) Some part of text which are taken from internal Coppermine texts.
2) The applet is translated in Chinese.

Like stated before, please take a look at this page, to add this translation:
http://etienne.lesgauthier.fr/wiki/doku.php?id=jupload_translation

You'll see that the second part of the page is in English. Please ignore the first part, as I have problems with Chinese characters.

I am getting an understanding now.  The applet width is the one displayed inside CP.  I am having a problem with the size of the applet when you click on 'Browse' to add the pics and the external applet loads..  what controls the size of it?

Is there a way to get the applet to stay inline with CP, rather than loading an external browser?

What is CP ?
What do you mean 'stay inline with CP' and 'external browser' ?

There is no external browser, but a dialog box that looks more or less like the windows file explorer, and allows to select files. If you talk about it, then, too bad. It's controled by Java, and I don't want to code it myself...
It seems possible to control its size. But I don't think it's really useful.

My apologies, I meant Coppermine..

Issue resolved, I have been trying to resolve the issue with the size of the dialog box apparently, rather than the plugin itself.

I know, that batch-adding for non-admin users isn't possible, but would it be possible to use JUpload
for public albums/categories? (I allowed public uploading for the corresponding user group with no effect to JUpload.)

AFAIK there shouldn't be any security issues (as with batch-add)?!

Edit: may it be, that JUpload doesn't respect the setting to let new pictures approve by an admin?
new pictures are in gallery right after adding them, although set to true.

This should work properly with current version: a user should be able to 'batch' upload with JUpload within any album he may upload to.

Edit: may it be, that JUpload doesn't respect the setting to let new pictures approve by an admin?

From your message, I understand this:
- The fact that the user group may upload to public albums is correctly managed.
- The fact that pictures need approval is not managed.

Correct ?

If so, I'm really surprised, because I just use existing code. And I think I tested. But, test and test and test ... is never enough
 ::)

I'll check that.
