Modifying the Permissions of an Album
« on: February 23, 2007, 08:06:56 pm »

I am trying to move my albums from one category to another. I goto the "Properties" of any of my albums and use the pull-down list to change the category. I check the box next to "I'm Sure" and then press the "Submit Changes" button. I then get a page that says "No Update Needed". It does not make any changes at all.

Ideas?

If you figured it out, it would be helpful if you could explain a little, or give a hint? I'm having this problem too.

Login to your gallery and goto the main gallery page that shows all your categories. Click on the "Properties" of the gallery you want to change and on the next screen, use the pull-down list to change the "Album Category".

That is all.

Oops! I guess it was that I was trying to change the permission, but it would not do that. It was giving me the same message "No Update Needed", even though I had obviously made changes. I cannot remove or change a password, I cannot change it to everybody with a password. It is stuck in the mode with a password and viewable by "Me only". The only way I know is to delete the whole album, which deleted the files I FTP uploaded too. There has to be an easier way to just change the permission.

Perhaps I just am forced to go to the database and make the change manually?

I feel rediculously dumb! I was hitting the reset album button and not the update album button... Doh!
