Cannot Upload A Folder of Files: Error
« on: April 02, 2007, 02:42:01 am »

Hello,

I'm trying to upload a folder of files but all .JPG  but I get the error message:

Quote
Only files with the following extensions are accepted :

jpg/jpeg/jpe/gif/png/bmp/jpc/jp2/jpx/jb2/swc/iff/asf/asx/mpg/mpeg/wmv/swf/avi/mov/mp3/midi/mid/wma/wav/ogg/psd/doc/txt/rtf/pdf/xls/pps/ppt/zip/gz/mdb.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Do exactly as suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs. Additionally, post a deep link to the file(s) that you're trying to upload.
What's "a folder of files" anyway?

oops, I meant that I was trying to 'batch add'  several  .jpg images, about 40 of them.  All of them have .jpg
extension.

I uploaded them, but when I go to batch add them it gives me the above error message.  To try to add them each individually would be difficult.

File: /home/guchuj05/public_html/gallery/searchnew.php - Line: 243

The problem may be the: searchnew.php - Line: 243

What is wrong here?

Thank you very much?

The path to the file of .jpgs is

You have some strange sort of redirection set up: http://gallery.thesportsjournal.ws/albums/custom_upload/Tennis_Channel_Open_03-02-2007/ shows a broken coppermine page (instead of a list of jpeg files or a forbidden error. Post a deep link to one of the files you're trying to add.

Re-read the upload-troubleshooting section - you're suppossed to set the number of uri upload fields to 0 instead of 3.

I uploaded one of the pictures individually and that worked fine http://gallery.thesportsjournal.ws/displayimage.php?pos=-376

Here's a link to one of the uploaded pictures.   http://gallery.thesportsjournal.ws/albums/uploadfolder/TTC2/IMG_2349.jpg

The problem is that I use dial up & it would take too long to upload them individually again.

I still get this same error message when I try to batch add them:

I still get this same error message when I try to batch add them:
Not an error message, but expected behaviour - it's debug_output. Happens if you turn debug_mode on ::) - that's what debug_mode is meant for. As suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs, you're not suppossed to post it unless a supporter explicitely asks for it.

Here's a link to one of the uploaded pictures.  http://gallery.thesportsjournal.ws/albums/uploadfolder/TTC2/IMG_2349.jpg
Try replacing the file on your server with the one I attached to this posting. Then try batch-adding once more.

It's a png file, so give it a .png extension.

I created a new folder & dragged all the images to the new folder in the ftp client.  Then I could batch add these ones.  That solved the problem.
Thanks!!
