Batch Add and Bandwidth Exceeded Problems
« on: March 31, 2007, 06:26:42 pm »

I'm having some issues with the Batch Add feature on my site as it is causing my web account to process more than 20% of the CPU resources which causes my webhost to temporarily disable my site.

I am positive that I read somewhere on this site that there is a way round this by creating your thumbnails first and then uploading the lot to your albums folder and from there adding them to your gallery. However I can't find the document that tells you how to do that final step (adding them to the gallery). Please can someone point me in the right direction.

create thumbs, make sure their naming scheme is:
image:  picture.jpg
thumb: thumb_picture.jpg

upload thumbs and images into your batch add dir, start batch adding.

If you want to predo intermediate images too, then resize and name them
intermediate: normal_picture.jpg

I've just tried this and it works like an absolute charm. Thanks very very much!
