Allow gallery to be viewed by all membergoups, not just one
« on: March 16, 2007, 12:53:29 am »

I am attempting to make my entire photo gallery visible to only members with at least 5 posts.

I have 5 membergroups that are based off posts, and one that is based purely on registration with 0 to 4 posts.

I select my base membergroup (min 5 posts) and apply that to an album.  Only that group can view the gallery, and nobody else, even members with more posts, in a higher membergroup.

My goal is to have all of my galleries visible by all 5 groups (starting with post count at 5) only, not the 6th membergroup of people with 0-4 posts.

But, I can only select one membergroup in the album properties, I'm not able to select multiple membergroups, is there a way to do it?

No. Coppermine does not know the other groups are 'higher', they are just other groups.

alright, thanks

maybe in the future, it could be where you can select multiple groups with "CTRL + Click" instead of just one in specific - you could select one alone that way too.

Maybe, but it's a lot more work than adding ctrl+click. It means a change to the database and the permissions code.
