Send password in registration email
« on: March 06, 2007, 02:21:54 pm »

In version 1.3 it worked to send the password in e-mail like this:
Your password : "{PASSWORD}"
But now in 1.4 it doesn't work, the line is sent like above.

Update - the token remainder  in some language files has been fixed. The most recent version is cpg1.4.10.

The password is not being sent in the email for security reasons. If you want it back (not recommended), search the board - I think someone has posted a howto.

This thread has been moved to the permissions section in error. I moved it back to where it has been started in the first place. Please excuse the fuzz.

I can't find this option for 1.4. Can someone help me. I just want to send the password, in confirmation email.

Please re-read the thread you replied to: sending the password in the email is not an option for security reasons. The remaining translation strings used to reside in some language files in older versions. This happened in error and was corrected. Bottom line: the feature you're looking for doesn't exist.
