Can't upload any pics
« on: March 01, 2007, 11:54:57 pm »

Hi,

I recently moved the gallery from one host to another and thought I had all the settings correct... But, now no-one can upload files.  I have checked the permissions, and they are all 777.  The basis error message a user receives is: '   Impossible to move.'

I followed the instructions in 4.11.4 Upload troubleshooting and here are my results:

Failed to create directory albums/userpics/10112 !

File: /home/becomea1/public_html/beyondpaper/gallery/db_input.php - Line: 318

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Okay, I tried adding Silly safe mode to the config file and that didn't help...

How do you mean 'didn't help' ? That error message is not possible when using silly safe mode.

Verify that permissions on the userpics directory allow Coppermine to create new directories.

okay - I admit 'didn't help' was not very informative.

The error message now reads:

Destination directory albums/userpics/ is not writable by the script !

File: /home/becomea1/public_html/beyondpaper/gallery/db_input.php - Line: 331

I've checked permissions on the albums and userpics folder and they are all 777.

I'm not sure what to do next.

Thanks!

If 777 doesn't make it writeable then you'd need to ask your host what needs to be done.
