Setting it right?
« on: February 17, 2007, 02:45:28 pm »

My webserver doesn't provide any SMTP-service, so I need to set own there.
BUT when I installed CPG, I gave a gmail-account as my mail. How I set it so that it works?

Any help? Users can't register because of email validation doesn't work and it's quite irritating. :/

We can't set up your webserver for you. Configure your webserver to enable it to send emails (using sendmail or SMTP, your choice), or ask your webhost for support. Nothing we could possibly do to fix things for you.

The SMTP settings can be changed in Coppermine's config, but I doubt that you can use your google mail account to relay from your webserver.
