Hi,

well, let's start at the beginning...
My website is www.partypleasure.be. We take partypictures every week and put them in our Coppermine album.

We started the site almost 2 years ago with cpg v 1.3.4, a few months ago we upgraded to 1.4.10, no problems, over 20 000 pictures have been hosted on our site (we delete them after 1 year)

So, everything went well untill yesterday...

Like always, I ftp the files in a new folder, set permissions right, log in, create a new album, batch add, select folder, select all files, still no prob...
till I click "Insert Files" (or whatever it may be in english, my language is set to dutch)
So, normally I should get a page saying that all files were added successfully, but this time i get a "You have to permission to access this page" (again: whatever it may be in English, in Dutch it says "Je hebt geen toestemming om deze pagina te bezoeken."

When I go back and try to view a different page it looks as if I'm completely logged out... I get back to the default theme and admin options are gone...

My brower is Opera 9.00, but I tried with IE 7 and Firefox 1.5.0.9
Any idea what could cause this? Last week everything was fine...

Things tried so far:
- Cleared cookies
- cleared sessions table in database
- CHMOD'ed *ALL* files to 777 (CHMOD'ed back to default now for securty)

All help is apreciated, I have about 400 pictures from yesterday that need to be added to albums and people are already mailing where the pics are (guess they'll just have to wait :p)

I had 310 pictures from friday, I added them via xp publish because batch add wouldn't work (never used that wizard before :p)

I have same problem.

No matter what brauser, cookies setting etc. Still I get logged out. But I have discovered, that this problem is only then, when you have amount of new files high. With small folders, where is only 10-20 files. Everything works fine. When I try to add more - then I get error - You don't have permission and I am logged out.

Haven't asked for debug_output. Re-read the upload troubleshooting section of the docs that I refered to and do exactly as suggested there! It says that you mustn't post debug_output, but clearly says what you actually need to do.

I make test - I upload and add only small amount files (10 files per once).
I upload all these files to one folder.
And still - after I have in folder more than 100 pictures - I can't no more add even single picture. (I try with diffrent pictures). All the time:

first, i had the same problem with the batch upload. I checked everything, i performed all the actions mentioned in th guides.
But ...... nothing helps.

I reinstalled cpg, but nothing.

Finally i checked my apache2 errorlog and the following error was present in het error file.
" [Mon Mar 05 10:02:18 2007] [error] [client x.x.x.x] ALERT - configured request variable limit exceeded - dropped variab
le 'picfile_i0066' (attacker 'x.x.x.x', file '/home/www/htdocs/foto/searchnew.php'), referer: etc...."

I did some searching on the error.
It has to do with the php-hardening patch. In my phpinfo i can see that the Suhosin Patch is present. It seems that some configuration variables will cause the error in Coppermine.

At this moment i don't know wich configuration items cause it. But i do know how to fix it (that is, temporarily  )

edit the php.ini and add the following line
"suhosin.simulation = On"

The error is stil present in the apache2 error file but will not effect youre upload. The hardening patch will run in a simulation mode.
This is not nice but fixes the problem for me. 

Maybe somebody else will find the right configuration items to fixed it permantly

Solved.
This Suhosin Patch don't help. And I don't check closer that any more, but some problem with maximum value there is. In Gentoo is PHP 5.2 now stable and I upgraded to 5.2 and now its works fine.
