Restore factory default
« on: February 08, 2007, 04:47:23 am »

Hi, I really need help on this one.  I accidentally click the 'restore factory defaults' button in the config menu and now all the pages in my coppermine gallery is blank.  I search through the forum and couldn't find anyone who had the problem like mine.
Any help is appreciated.

Post a link to your coppermine-driven gallery for a start.

and can you explain to me the exact functionality of the 'factory default' option.  At first glance it seem to me that it acts more like a kill switch than anything else, very harmful to your application.

is there a way to undo the setting without having to upgrade.  And what exactly is the purpose of the 'restore factory default?

It restores all your config settings to default. If you have a backup you can restore from that.

If all that button does is restoring your original setting then why my entire links within coppermine went dead.  All the pages are white, not even an error telling me what I did wrong. Even though I am using ver 1.4.9, still don't know why it act like this.

Upgrading is mandatory and might fix your issues as well. Do as I suggested.
