MS SQL or some other type of ODBC support
« on: February 05, 2007, 05:33:29 pm »

Hi Guys,

I have read a handful of threads requesting this... I guess since Microsoft now offers a free version of their SQL Server software (Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express) it may be an attractive option to include support for Microsoft SQL server. Is this in the plans of anything? I wouldn't mind seeing this kind of feature in the new version. Thanks a ton!

No, MS releasing "MS SQL light" definitely won't be the reason to consider adding this feature. There has been some discussion already on adding a database abstraction layer. Has been turned down. Self-hosting isn't recommended anyway.
