The previous file could not be placed.

Hi,

First, let me say I did take the time yesterday to read through a good portion of the forum looking for this type of error. I also followed the instructions completely, all my permissions with my host (Servage) are set at 777...all my configurations in Coppermine are set as instructed.

All day yesterday I was getting the error The previous file could not be placed. You have successfully placed all the files.

But now today?? The error message has changed to:
Impossible to move Sword1.jpg to albums/userpics/10001/ !
File:/mounted-storage/home6/sub003/sc13591-HAHZ/our-family-history.org/gallery/db_input.php - Line: 355

Hello,

Well I figured it out on my own, go figure and I'm a complete newbie to this php stuff. Anyway I added the "define('SILLY_SAFE_MODE', 1);" to the beginning of the file config.inc.php and everything nows works fine.  ;D

So you mark this one as solved. Thanks again...

Hello,

I Got this same problem. I walked through the manual. Set the directories to 777.  But still got the same problem.
And i also set silly_debug_mode to 1.

Can anyone help me out?

Nobody asked for the debug_mode. It's not a bright idea to try to hijack a thread that has been marked as "solved", posting irrelevant information. Instead, do exactly as suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs and start a thread of your own. Locking this one.
