Hi all!
I'm a user of PayPal, and today i just recivied an e-mail, with the following subject:

Quote
Subject: Account Verification

----------

From: The PayPal Team <service@paypal.com>

Dear user,

We recently reviewed your account, and suspect that your PayPal account may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. Protecting the security of your account and of the PayPal network is our primary concern. Therefore, as a preventative measure, we have temporarily limited access to sensitive PayPal account features.

To restore your account access, please take the following steps to ensure that your account has not been compromised:

1. Confirm your identity by completing the account verification process.

2. Click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page. You will be taken to the Data Security and Encryption page.

3. Login to your PayPal account and review your recent account history for any unauthorized payments sent or received, and check your account profile to make sure not changes have been made. If any unauthorized activity has taken place on your account, report this to PayPal immediately.

To get started, please click the link below:

For more information about how to protect your account, please visit PayPal's Security Center, accessible via the "Security Center" link located at the bottom of each page of the PayPal website.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate your assistance in helping us maintain the integrity of the entire PayPal system. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

The PayPal Team

I know, that most people do not believe in this kind of e-mail, but, these kind of SCAM still exists, because some people, still believe on it. So watch out! What i discovered from this e-mail, is that, the LINK is a simple HTML code:

# A HREF="http://www.cgi-binverification.com/paypalform.html">http://www.paypal.com|cgi-bin|webscr|cmd=account-verification-run/#/A>

It's very simple, and anybody who can understand a little bit of HTML would notice it. So the Big deal is that, it's a FAKE link, wich one redirects you to a "CLONE" of PayPal.com site at somebody webspace hosted under: http://www.cgi-binverification.com/

SO BE CAREFULL!
DO NOT FILL UP THE FORM, it's FAKE.

By the way, the e-mail source is here:

From: The PayPal Team <service@paypal.com>
Reply-To: thapaypalteam@yahoo.com
Message-Id: <E1Awndq-0004Yd-00@nat264.national-net.com>

Well, i did my part
Spread this post to other PayPal users. It might be very usefull.

Check out the FAKE Site/URL:
http://www.cgi-binverification.com/paypalform.html

Now, i'm wondering, HOW did they got my e-mail, and how did they kenw that i do use PayPal. :/

They probably got your email address through some spam bot, and I don't think they only send their crap to people who they think use PayPal.
