Creating a subcatagory
« on: January 20, 2007, 02:32:16 pm »

Hi, I'm new to coppermine galleries. I've worked out how to make catagories and albums, even how to upload the pictures, the only think I can't quite figure out is how to creat a subcatagory. Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

Basically I want to create a main catagory then have an album with some other albums in that album [if that makes sense.

When in the category control panel, select the Parent Cateogory that you want your sub-cateogory to be in. You can nest categories but not albums.

Did you read the manual first???? Taking 2 minutes to backup your files can save you hours of wondering what you screwed up.

Can you give me a step by step guide on how to do this?

What I've done is created the category - then the album - then when I go back to create a subcatagory the place I want it to go under isn't listed in the menu.
