where should i put tha pictures i upload?

i created a folder which i put in the public_html called : "album" when i installed your download, i tried to apload pictures to that folder and when i try to see them in :rachelilila.net/album it shows empty ...
where should i put them? (sorry for english mistakes...not my language...) thanks!
