Help! Integration with phpBB 2.0.22
« on: January 04, 2007, 02:22:29 pm »

Coppermine install: http://group.rainerum.it/gallery
Forum install: http://group.rainerum.it/forum
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.10
Forum version: phpBB 2.0.22

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://group.rainerum.it/forum
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../forum/
Use post-based groups?:  1

My problem is that if I use this configuration, when I try to log in with my username and my password, the browser displays that it's impossible to find the page (the url that appears in the address bar is: http://group.rainerum.it/forum/ucp.php?mode=login&redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fgroup.rainerum.it%2Fgallery%2F). There is no file called "ucp.php" in my forum directory, but there is a file called "uacp.php". Perhaps that file is correct!

Ok, I fixed this trouble. This was because I selected "phpBB 2.2" for the bridging. Now i selected "phpBB version 2.0.18 or better" and i setted the parameters. But it still doesn't work....

Now the files exists, but the redirection doesn't work. The redirection is to the forum an not to the gallery!

And if I try to go to the gallery, I'm redirected always to the forum, even if I'm logged to the forum!!!

Enable the bridge with the correct settings and post a test user account.

Look, you have 2.0.22. The options available are '2.0.18 or better' which is obviously the correct option and '2.2' which is clearly a higher version than what you have. This is not complicated.

The problem is that phpBB 2.2 Doesn't exist! Give me the link to the phpBB 2.2,m if you can!!
So I thought that 2.2 was a mistake!

People requested a bridge for 2.2 so I made one. It no longer exists since they are going straight to 3 instead. It will be renamed in a future Coppermine release.

I figured since this topic is directly related to my issue I would just post in it,  I am using the same forum software (phpBB 2.0.22 & latest coppermine). I setup the bridge and I know I did it right it's pretty straight forward, anyway at first when I clicked login on the gallery it redirected me just fine to the forum but when I logged in on the forum the redirect to the gallery didn't work which was easy enough to fix... turned out to just be the url the gallery software itself was set to. getting down to the issue at hand, when I login it redirects me to the gallery now however it doesn't log me in, I would really appreciate it if I could get some insight into why it would be doing this. :)

Your issue is not related. You shouldn't have tried to hijack it. Locking this thread. Start a thread of your own, doing exactly as suggested in the sticky thread on this board labelled "When requesting bridge support - mandatory!" (why didin't you read it first although reading it is mandatory? There is a reason why we create sticky threads!). How to obtain support on bidging issues is being explained in the documentation as well ("Integrating the script with your bulletin board (Bridging)" => "Bridging support").
